Problem/Requirements
Olivia, founder of Femtek, started developing a piece of wearable tech (a Ring) for women to collect their biometric data so that they could use this data to track menstrual cycles. As such she needed mobile apps that coudl sync with the device and represent the data in an easy to understand way.
1. We first workshopped the app idea with Olivia to understand exactly what she wanted to achieve and what data she wanted to show to her users;
2. Created a new front-end mobile app design in line with branding and marketing strategies for the Femtek application. Designs were created in Sketch and prototypes provided via InVision for comment.
3. We created a software plan, including sprint timelines and deliverables linked to milestone payments;
4. We developed the mobile apps natively in line with the approved designs and provided the client’s team with regular updates and apps to test via TestFlight;
5. We also worked closely with the hardware provider to ensure that changes to the hardware, in particular the firmware, were reflected in the applications;
6. Finally we worked with the client’s team during the UAT testing period to fix any final defects and get the app ready to be pushed to a beta group for testing.
Outcome
The final product is currently in beta testing, where we are awaitingv feedback on the functionality and experience of the app.
The app not only looks modern but accurately provides lifestyle recommendations based on the Biometric data and recorded data of the users. This helps the user to monitor the fertility by tracking the cycle.
